Transponders
TT22 Mode S Transponder
The TT22 system is our smallest, lightest, Mode S general aviation transponder. It can fit into the smallest of aircraft – and yet it is fully certified and compliant with all the transponder requirements. The TT22 is a two part transponder system, which includes an integrated altitude encoder. The TT22 is a Class 1 transponder. This means that you can use a TT22 if your plane is capable of flying above 15,000 feet or faster than 175 knots, VFR or IFR.
- Low Weight - less than 500 grams!
- Minimal Panel Space
- Low Power Consumption
- 250 Watts Nominal Output
- Integrated Altitude Encoder
- Simple Installation
- Support for 1090ES ADS-B Out
The TT22 can be mounted in a standard 57 mm (2¼ inch) instrument hole, or where space is really tight, in a compact mounting just 42 mm high.
The TT22 connected to an appropriate GPS will make it compliant with the FAA final rule on ADS-B.
The TT22 is TSO approved for fitting to European and FAA registered aircraft.
TT21 Mode S Transponder
The TT21 is a two part transponder system, which includes an integrated altitude encoder. In design and technology it is equivalent to the TT22, however, the transmitted output power of the TT21 is lower, qualifying the unit as a Class 2 transponder. Class 2 transponders are suitable for aircraft cruising slower than 175 knots, and operating below 15,000 feet, VFR or IFR. If you NEVER exceed these limits either because the aircraft isn't capable or because you set these limits as an operating limitation, then you can use the less expensive model, the TT21. But if you want to have the option to go above 15K or faster than 175 knots, you need the more expensive one.

- Low Power Consumption
- 130 Watts Nominal Output
- Integrated Altitude Encoder

TT31 Mode S Transponder
The TT31 is a power-efficient, inexpensive, Mode S transponder that meets the European elementary surveillance requirements. The TT31 fits in the same mounting tray as the KT76A transponder, making it a great choice for either upgrades or new installations.
- European Mode S
- Low Power Consumption
- No Cavity Tube
- 240 Watts Nominal Output
- Plug and Play Installation
- Backlit LCD Display
- Easy to Use Rotary Knobs
- Timer/Stopwatch Function
- Altitude Monitor
- Certified 1090ES ADS-B out
The TT31 is TSO approved for fitting to European and FAA registered aircraft. A new software upgrade to add FAA TSO C166b is in the process of certification and expected in the second half of 2011. This certification and a connection to an appropriate GPS will make the TT31 compliant with the FAA final rule on ADS-B for 2020.
